Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below is the title of a 2011 Japanese anime film directed by Makoto Shinkai. The plot of the film is focused on a lovely girl Asuna who makes a journey because she wants to meet a boy whom she has met before. This journey which was full of adventures and romance can impress various audiences, ranging from children to adults. I liked Shinkai’s previous work 5 Centimeters per Second very much. For this reason, I had been looking forward to Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below since the moment I heard of this new anime film. I even completed a university custom essay paper and a college custom essay paper on History before the deadline because I wanted to be one of the first to watch this film. Though the film director admits that Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below is one of the longest film in the history of anime genre, the fascinating plot absorbed me and I did not notice how the time passed by. At the beginning, Asuna, the main character, is listening to mysterious music from the crystal radio. This unusual radio is a souvenir the girl received from her father. Then, Asuna decides to find a boy from her past, and at this moment her adventurous trip starts . During this travelling, Asuna learns how beautiful, but cruel this world may be, and her discoveries can be equally interesting for young and adult spectators.
